Giving Uggs the Boot

Things are finally starting to warm up. Yay! That means sun, that means less layers, that means we're saving on our gas bill, that means cute clothes, and spring. It also means that the snow is going to melt and there is going to be slush, dirty, sand ridden slush everywhere. Uggs are not good boots for slush. They're great for really cold winter days. They're great for keeping your feet comfy. But they are not water proof, nor are they slush proof. I also have the ones that button up on the sides so stuff gets in through there, and their only mid height so I'm constantly getting snow in my boots. Not cool when you have to walk to work every day. So I need new boots. I also need dress pants but thats a different story. I'm debating between two.

Hunters
- they are completely waterproof
- they are super cute
- you can warm them up with huge socks
- they go nicely with dresses
- they are super heavy duty and long lasting
- multi season boots

Sorels
- they are super heavy duty
- they're cute in a girl meets lumberjack kind of way
- they're warm
- they're waterproof on the bottom
- they will last forever
- they might get a little hot in the spring

Which ones?

  2. I love my Sorels! The only issue I had with them is that they dig in at the heel sometimes and at points it has actually made me bleed. I find that if I wear high enough socks, this stops the problem. However, I have oddly shaped calves... maybe this is just a boot problem for me!

Even so... sorels are my recommendation. Although they might get warm in the spring, they'll be better for all 3 seasons (spring/fall/winter)!
