Road Trip!

Two weeks ago the husband and I headed down south for a wedding.  It was awesome, they served German food. Best wedding food ever! The schnitzel and cabbage rolls were phenomenal, they were definitely worth the trip. Mind you we did get stopped on the highway for almost four hours in the middle of nowhere, in the pitch black because of icy road conditions. Moving our trip up to 13 hours when we usually do it in no more than 8. All in all it was great, but every trip down south reminds us how much we miss our friends and family down there. And how much we miss living down there...

Sicko

Wednesday morning in emerge.

Last week was awful. I was the sickest I have ever been. This beats out laryngitis when I was 15 and that time I had the flu in grade 12. This beats anything. I was flat out sick for four and half days straight. It all started out with a fever Monday night. Tuesday I was feeling crappy but soldiered on to work only to be sent home an hour after getting there. So I slept the day away. Wednesday morning started off with a trip to the emerge because I was having trouble breathing and I was quickly realizing that this wasn't your run of the mill cold. They sent me home to sleep it off saying that it was an infection of some kind. So I went home and slept / watched TV for another day. Thursday I got up and tried to go to work but I was still to sick. So I spent another day on the couch. Friday I got up to go to work again but after seeing me lying on the living room floor for a  while Chris suggested that I stay home again and get better. So I spent another day on the couch. At this point watching TV and napping all day had lost all of its grandeur. Saturday I did some things around the house and once again slept of this monster of a whatever this is. And now I am pretty much good to go besides some dry coughs and stuffy nose. We visited Chris's parents last weekend and my brother in law was sick with similar symptoms to what I had and was just diagnosed with walking pneumonia and an infection today. So who knows, maybe I had pneumonia. Anyways, the moral of the story is don't be sick for four days straight because it's really boring but if you do make sure you have a husband to look after you and cats to keep you company.
